Anal Fissures and All Things Rectal
I like surgery. I like cutting people and then sewing them up. I like blood and guts. But if I never see an anus again, it'll be too soon. I'm 3 weeks into my general surgery rotation and I have seen (and touched) enough anal sphincters to last a life time. Hasn't anyone in the rural South heard of a Brazilian wax? And I haven't even mentioned the hemorrhoids and poop. I just can't handle it. I'm pretty sure general surgery is not for me.

Is this a required rotation? You are making me want to back out.
It is a required rotation Alan. General Surgery, but i like to call it "The A**hole Rotation", cause that's what you're dealing with, both literally and figuratively.
